The phrase “tit-for-tat strikes”, which I’ve seen & heard in multiple places, is so ridiculously trivializing of what is actually happening. People are being killed. Things are being destroyed. Money is being wasted that could be spent on human needs. It’s not “tit-for-tat”. 😡
While I appreciate the attempt at a metaphor from the NYT, the Iran war was not a butterfly flapping its wings! More like an elephant stomping through the jungle.

Understated consequence of this: how can you convince your hospital board that it must keep offering trans youth care if one of the leftmost politicians in America set his new clinic at 19 and over?

This is obscene. Mamdani literally ran on opposing this kind of capitulation. He went to the protest at NYU, who made the EXACT same decision for the EXACT same reason.
