We ❤️ our data librarian community!
The DRP Steering Committee has issued a correction to an email sent yesterday before we received confirmation from another source.
We apologize for the alarm, but are happy that people care so much about public data.

I love this article, this project, this middle finger to anyone who would whitewash history. A year ago this month, a few of us in DRP were trying to figure out how to do this, and all it took was finding the right people to collaborate with. I am so proud of what #SaveOurSigns has become.
Don't forget that we have an office hour today! Come chat about public data! www.datarescueproject.org/summer-re-or...
Great overview of where we were, are, and the fight ahead!
Thanks for the shout-out too! 🛟

We don't play things loosey-goosey in the DRP: where there's a threat to federal data, and public access to it, we jump into action. Or we run hissing towards it, to capture the data. This #MemeMonday, we celebrate our volunteers for always being ready to save data.
If you are confused about the OMB's proposed uniform guidance revisions, you are not alone!
Thanks to @infodocket.bsky.social for creating this roundup of readings.

The past ~18 months have been hard. Participating in the DRP, with the incomparable @lyndamk.bsky.social at the helm, has been my lifeline. I feel like I'm fighting fascism with the tools I have and defending the rights of my fellow Americans.
Thanks LK for saying it so well.
