It's easy for me to find pride in being a gay man, but it's infinitely more difficult finding pride in my asexuality, kinks, likely aromanticism, interest in types of polyamory because it becomes so incredibly complicated as they intertwine and awful to explain. I often feel heartless and broken.

I've found it easier expressing this at furry conventions because there's an incredible ease of pretension and simultaneously silent and screaming understanding and embrace of everyone's weirdness and truth.
