100% this. The true win isn’t defunding EVO. It’s making the grassroots FGC powered thing that will take its place. And it all starts with building stronger local scenes.

The most important takeaway from "the EVO numbers" is that everyone has to want to go to places *not* Evo/CB/CEO. Sitting there and being like "we got em!" only does so much, building your scene and then expanding to closer areas to get more regionals/majors in other parts of NA should be the goal.
