i was extremely hyperfixated on that show when I was.. 16, 17? and rewatching it now, at 30, in our current day and age, it hits better than ever. what an incredible piece of art. hiromu arakawa, i am so grateful.

in case anyone actually hasn't yet, WATCH FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD. it's the platonic ideal of a perfect anime. great all throughout, not endlessly drawn out, incredible character/worldbuilding work. and being a love letter to the beauty of humanity, more relevant than ever.
an incredible experience is rewatching an old favorite show after a long time and realizing: not only is it still great, it's even better than you remember.
