A few years ago I was watching Babylon Berlin on Netflix to practice German, but it got pulled from the site before I got to finish. I've discovered recently its available on TéléQuébec, unfortunately in French dub and French subtitles only, it will have to do, I got left on several cliffhangers.
Based on the book with same name, it follows two individuals working with the Berlin Police Force between the wars as they untangle a complicated conspiracy of organized crime, pornography, prostitution, fascism and missing Russian gold. It chillingly parallels current events a little too well.
