Unpopular opinion? RE: MTG getting her congressional pension: I don't really care.
The lower salaries/pensions are for elected officials, the less accessible those positions are for the non-rich. And the more enticing work as a lobbyist is once leaving office.
Let her have it.
The Hobo is a fascinating look at a window of history that defined so much of what we think of as America. I learned so much working on this book. Anyone interested in US history should read or (even better!) listen to it.
