Northeast Day of Action! The Senate is currently writing their version of the Farm Bill. This is our opportunity to act. Tell your Senator TODAY to ONLY vote for a bill that fully restores funding and access to SNAP. projectbread.quorum.us/campaign/106... Food access is a need, not a bargaining chip

We know that the ever-increasing cost of rent in Worcester and Worcester County is a main driver of food insecurity. When the choice is healthy food or a roof over their heads, the food budget usually loses, resulting in long-term consequences for health and well-being.
Last month, our CEO gathered with local food advocates to send a message to the governor that DTA needs more staff. People can't get help with food when they can't reach a SNAP caseworker. Currently, fewer than 10% of calls reach a live caseworker. This must change.
We've prioritized Breakfast After the Bell in Worcester County for the past 10 years. Feedback from students, teachers, parents and school nutrition staff all confirms that kids who get breakfast at school with their classmates are more successful in all areas.
