This is literally what they do whenever a Black person is killed by police. No matter how solid the evidence is, they will keep pushing that lie, not just to poison the conversation and make sure the killer walks free, but to reassert the political idea that these people deserve to be killed.

Why the fuck can the POTUS invade a sovereign nation, kill dozens of people and kidnap leadership, talk about taking over the "territories" of other sovereign nation, and Congress doesn't get together until the next business day two days later?
Intellectually, I know this has happened numerous times before.
Emotionally, I'm less detached. I've unprecedented access to a flood of news/updates/opinions/information about America's latest invasion/resource grab.

I love living with dear friends with whom I am rarely social outside of the house.
They have their own lives and sweethearts and parties and I get to hear about all of it and participate in next to none of it. As someone with much lower social engagement needs, this is unbelievably restful.
On a completely different note, I need to figure out a better script here. My "I hear and acknowledge what you're saying" can get interpreted as "I agree to your request" at *really* annoying moments.
I need more "I hear you; gotcha; I need to think about it; good info, I'll get back to you."
In these dark days, three things give me hope:
1) The unending creativity of the Whimsical and Weird Shit humans choose to do with free will.
2) For everything I can't/hate doing, there is someone who is really good at/loves doing it.
3) Every evidence that fucking up is not the end of the world.
