An argument that can only be made in a flat land. In hill country, like Vancouver, eBikes are what open up biking to people who aren't elite athletes or can't afford $10k super bikes. The real issue isn't eBikes, it's the explosion of delivery bikes - and that's on the companies that employ them.

Back in Montreal for the week. Walked past 3 separate and unrelated street festivals. In summer this city is the Barcelona of Canada (vs Vancouver - which is basically Canada’s Instagram account or Toronto, which is a brutal indictment of the collective failures of all 3 levels of government).

There’s a thing with carbon dating that you can’t do it after the Industrial Revolution because there’s so much artificial Carbon14 in the atmosphere that it doesn’t work anymore. And I’m finding that with internet sleuthing-that it basically stops in 2021. After that you can’t tell what’s real.
15 minute bike ride from home. Yesterday the water was warm enough and today it was bathtub temps at low tide. During summer I try and spend half the day working from the beach. But it's June 2nd and I'm already sunned out.
