But when I see stories like that I wonder what the hell has been the "norm" that has required a full ban. Like... OBVIOUSLY phone use should be prohibited on school premises. It's just how you enforce that that should be under question?
Our school hasn't announced yet whether their new policy is going to be no phones allowed to be brought to school (ie kids need to find a new way to pay for stuff and let their parents know if they're going to a friend's house after school) or if they'll somehow take them away while they're there.
