Three years ago tomorrow, I very nervously gave this speech. I knew my career as a TV journalist was dunzo, cooked, filleted, kaput the morning I wrote it. (Thanks to Kat insisting I go for it anyway.)

The World Cup is only a week away.
As a football nut, I've never felt such a lack of interest for any WC finals, as I do for this one. I will watch England games, and no doubt I'll be disappointed as per usual.
I'm cringing at the thought of the US style razzamatazz BS.
