Sometimes the cat's instincts serve her well: she'll find a High Spot With A View on top of the fridge.
Other times, she'll sit at the top of the stairs. In the dark. With black fur.
And then she'll get effectively Punted Like The Football, scrambling to the bottom, and NOBODY enjoys that.
