Highly praised Italian conductor Arturo Toscanini (1867-1957) leads the NBC Symphony in the well-known "Wm Tell Overture" (for the 1829 opera of that name) composed by Italian opera composer Gioachino Rossini (1792–1868). AT was 85 when he conducted this in Carnegie Hall, 3/52.
