The optometrist says my right eye is good but my left one is messed up (it has deteriorated a bit). The exam was $100, and I'm getting the frames from eyebuydirect (I compared prices with zennioptical) for $60 total with all bells & whistles plus shipping. I considered buying from Costco but nope.
LET ME DIE NOW GOD ππ
I find it important to speak out loud once in a while about internal things because if you leave it all in the dark too long it'll become worse somehow. Saying it out loud makes me feel better in that, no, ofc there's nothing scary in my food, and even if there was it won't kill me anyway I'll live.
It's probably due to having food allergies π that I'm anxious about what's in everything but my mind made the feeling of caution way more sinister than it needs to be.
The funny thing about self-awareness is it doesn't calm you down or make you more brave it instead forces you to do everything while unreasonably scared so I'm always eating my food carefully slowly because I'm afraid there's "something" in it knowing I can't let the fear stop me from eating at all.
It's still cheaper than other places if you'd rather buy it there for the convenience of having tried it in person but the lowest prices for Costco frames is~ $60 while lenses for a heavy prescription are $65 to $188. You might end up paying $400 to see. Get your prescription, your PD, buy online.
