Modern Animation Community wants to convince you both Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 4 are somehow worse sequels even though both were received very well critically and commercially in real life and gives big "Nice opinion, did a YouTuber give it to you?" Vibes
Even as someone who liked the movie when it came out, the flaws with it have become more apparent over time, even if some of its heart was in the right place. The over explaining of the film's marketing didn't help its case either
Lightyear was a case of being one of the last movies pitched by Lassetter's Ego because of his hate boner for Disney TVA and by proxy Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, and the irony of that movie taking so much from that series while also not being as well remembered aside from it's divisive twist
Seriously, to this day the only universally agreed upon "bad" film Pixar has produced out the THIRTY-ONE feature films was fucking Cars 2. And that was 15 years ago now, and was the last movie by them directed Mister Johnny McGrabGrab Lassetter
Modern Pixar haters who nitpick everything like sequels (There have only been two in the 2020's so far) and "Bean Mouth Styles" are the type of people who get a long, exhausted sigh whenever they enter a room in real life, and they are genuinely clueless and can't for the life of them figure out why
Why is it that the most comments complaining about studios supposedly using an algorithm make twelve different comments that themselves sound like they were put through an algorithm? I've seen the same recycled comment a hundred times before
K-Pop Demon Hunters was a major studio release btw. Or does that not count because it's not Disney?:
"That's a cute opinion did a YouTuber give it to you?"
Yes, because Hoppers, Elio, and Elemental are totally the same movie
Pixar is still the most consistent animation studio, y'all just focus too much on modern box office numbers and parroting from the animation community that they somehow "fell off" because....I don't know, they don't like certain art styles or something 🙄
