A good #hydrology reminder of why western watersheds must get snowpack to avoid drought. Outside the 4 corners, the western U.S. does not get meaningful precipitation in the summer. Half the water we use comes from snowmelt. Even outrageously wet winters will lead to drought if it all comes as rain.
