A 13 year old who worked to get rescue pets named the state pet of KY and hopefully the US, feeding some pets, helping some people and getting some shelter animals adopted along the way.

Chico made it to his foster home and is settling in nicely. He’ll go to the vet so he can get on the road to being his healthy happy new self. Thank you to everyone who pulled together at the last minute to get him where he needed to be!! #rescueride #officialKYstatepets
We can’t all save the world, but we can each save a little part of it. If we all try to do that, things will be ok.

So, the official bill signing ceremony for SB 37 is today, I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate rescue pets becoming the state pet of KY than saving one. So glad we got to help this guy. So join me in wishing Chico the best start to his new life in western Ky as one of the official KY state
