Honestly becoming a co-host of this podcast has been an even more joyful, interesting, enriching addition to my life than I expected. Glad that folks are listening and hopefully we're delivering something that is worth all the effort.

I played Container for the first time today and it immediately skyrocketed to “all timer” status for me. I immediately ordered my own copy. So thankful @allplay.bsky.social made such a great and affordable new edition.
Had a great initial playtest of a new design last night. Forever thankful to have creative friends that are so generous with their time and feedback. I don’t think I could be successful in this without that. Making games requires you to get out of your own head from time to time.

Euros rarely hit for me these days, but I really dug my first play of Compania. Probably the best new Euro I’ve played this year.
Very excited for a single session Earthborne experience (not to mention that this thing is GORGEOUS)

Did you know Old Kings Crown is an excellent 2 player dueling game? I actually like how unique it plays at each count and at 2 it’s much thinker. The donkey space mind games are much sharper. @theoldkingscrown.bsky.social

We followed it up with two games of Gudnak.
The new episode of @decisionspace.bsky.social is an exploration of spikey/interactive shared infrastructure games. We also do a deep dive case study on Splotter's Bus! podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/i...

It's such a lovely reminder that, for all of their scale and subtlety, these games are just pieces of paper animated by their players. No cleverness in their design can ever escape that fundamental fact.
