The Society is deeply saddened to hear of the death on 16 May of Michael Gandy FSG, aged 76.
A long-standing member, Chairman and Fellow of the Society, Michael served as editor of The Genealogistsβ Magazine from 2000 and was a much-valued friend and supporter of the genealogy community.

Edward Barron was born and baptized in 1902. In 1935, he married my cousin, Mary McGarrity. Mary died in early 1946, and Edward remarried later that year.
