Honestly this is perfect. As is the jar of moles.
Mediums cannot tell the future or speak to the dead but they tell people what they want to hear and sometimes people need that. We are all capable of acts of great wonder and beauty. We are all capable of banality and evil. These are things I'm sure of.
Nearly everything else has so many variables, possibilities and complicated probabilities that, no, I'm not sure about anything. People are startlingly different, for all that we are the same. One person can't juggle all those differences. Which is why we need *everyone*. Or we haven't got a hope.
The sun rises and the sun sets. Planets and stars and galaxies whirl on myriad unknown axes. This I'm sure of. Truth, justice and hard boiled eggs are all human constructs but they're some of the best ones we've got. But most of us don't have a logical bone in our body so we need help with them.
Chiropractic medicine is not real medicine. It temporarily relieves your neck ache and also kills people. Homeopathy is also not real medicine. Astrology is stupid but pretty harmless. So is any arbitrary designed to put you into a tiny little box. We are but small, insignificant grains of carbon.
Another thing I'm sure of: AI in it's current form is as racist, sexist and plagiarising as the worst of us and the level of trust we have collectively placed in it is the definition of madness.
Oh ffs.
This world is a precarious one - for us. The planet will remain no matter what we do to it. Our ability to live on it, however, is more fragile than most people can understand. Someone accidentally kills a Large Blue Butterfly (thanks, Dad) and in the future a swathe of grassland doesn't exist.
My CatBats are waffley versatile! Here are some celebrating a wedding. Like cats? Also like things a little bit spooky, or know someone else who does? Go to www.catbats.co.uk for more info.
Things I am sure of: people matter. No matter the people. Yes, even the bad ones, in a weird sort of way. Trans people don't deserve any of the hate that's put their way. Disabled people don't either. Immigrants of every stripe certainly don't. Their lives are hard enough. Climate change is real.
