1981, The Clash play the first night of a week long residency at Bond International Casino in New York. Further dates would be added to what became a 17 date run of shows.
On 11th June 1982 “Rock the Cashbah” is released as a single with “Long Time Jerk” on the b-side. It was recorded almost entirely by Topper Headon. He recorded the piano, drums, bass and guitar in one day when he found himself alone at the studio. Later Mick added guitar & Joe lyrics. #TheClash
The Clash - “Straight to Hell” is being re-released on 7inch yellow vinyl along with “Should I Stay or Should I Go” on 12th June 2026. theclash.lnk.to/SIS7 #TheClash
