Our environmental laws are broken and the government has no appetite for reform.
DEA took on the case to challenge and progress the legal argument. We lost the case but others now have an easier path.

Taking Woodside to court was a huge risk for a small not-for-profit like ours, but we knew we had to try.
Unfortunately, Australia’s environmental laws are not fit for purpose, and we lost the case. We now have to pay 80k in legal costs.
