I think I can now coherently describe why this gets to me:
Companies are just building answering machines again. And most of the casual evil, misuse, and ways to hack around it are the exact same as phreaking in the 80s.
Oof. Because resume screening vendors use a service that caches results, it surfaces the same result to any place you send the same resume.
Anyway. If you're job searching right now, changing a few words per submission will bust this and give you a better shot. I wish this weren't needed.
