It's a fascinating contrast with the 1936 Berlin Olympics which the Nazis used to try and show that they they *weren't* a brutal repressive racist regime by pulling back on open signs of antisemitism, whereas Trump and co. as using the World Cup as a venue to highlight their racist cruelty.
