I wonder how many lives Putin destroyed in his war on Ukraine? How much money he burned? What Russia could have been like if he hadn't do all that? Having an enormous ego and messing up badly don't go well together.
After the fall of the Berlin wall I got hopeful. Many former enemies were working together on science projects, the International Space Station being the most visible one. We were reducing nuclear weapons. Starting to care about environment, more freedom for gay and trans. And now look at humanity!
Europe is preparing for war. Officially with Russia. But in my view, why worry too much about an army that is already getting whipped by a much smaller nation? But there are other forces threathening Europe. And I do agree that Europe MUST be able to defend itself effectively. But NO profiteering!
If you attack a country, they likely will defend themselves and then you get things like this.
When it comes as far that the president in a comedy (Idiocracy) makes much more sense than the real president.
If this US regime still wins the upcoming elections in November, while it's pretty clear now that the majority of Americans is against them, what is left to do? I think November is a crucial point in time. Is the game rigged too much or does it still work enough to push back to normality?
For now, we must isolate the rogue elements in order to try and save the last bits of sanity there still are. In time, I hope we all can work together again, solving humanities real problems and push us all forward. Putting all that money and effort we now are forced to put in wars, into progress.
