the idea for this paper was formed during a whatsapp call on an incredibly hot day in Geneva, as negotiations toward a UN plastics treaty hit deadlock this article grapples with the erosion of liberal environmentalism and what it might mean for global environmental governance
new study led by colleagues at @pml.ac.uk which shows that plastics packaging linked to food and beverages is by far the dominant form of marine plastics pollution the headline finding is perhaps not thath surpising, but the figures are pretty staggering
