Your annual reminder that if you only know one bramble make it Rubus armeniacus Himalayan Giant, the only truly invasive non-native bramble. Discolores (chalk white on leaf undersides), orange-green stems with contrasting red prickles. Huge in all parts. Overtops native communities. #BrambleDuJour

A modest 47:24 on the London roof terrace this morning, the wind perhaps a bit too strong here. Three more NFY though, with the blingy micros Lozotaenoides formosana and Gold Triangle, plus my 700th Box-tree Moth. #TeamMoth
