That guy who was @shayman on that other thing; former musical dictator, Argonotes, the Until Recently Toronto Argonauts Band of the #CFL. Recently retired from that big fruit company. Photo above is the launch of Apollo XI. (I have a better camera now.)

every year I fall swear I'm going to get caught up on WWDC videos … I'm getting there slowly.
And of course the highlight, Steve Jobs feigns enthusiasm that the iMac will soon be available at Sears, It's mindboggling watching these old sessions and remembering how excited I too was by things like "live streaming video at 160x144"

Cyrus Daboo, in "What's New in managing Apple devices", has the best voice of any #WWDC presenter in recent memory. Well done!

delighted to find that the Internet Archive has the WWDC '99 keynote. I have long lost those CDs and DVDs but somebody kindly uploaded one of them. Featuring a young Steve Jobs, Avie Tevanian and Phil Schiller. archive.org/details/1999-05-1...

I know you come here for the hottest takes on the biggest WWDC announcements, so here's mine: Shortcuts now has Storage so things can persist. And "otherwise if." yay!
I like to think that when I honestly choose "I never signed up for this list" that it administers an electric shock to the list administrator. Although, of course, it probably does absolutely nothing.
My favourite part of a developer conference presentation is when the presenter starts off a demo with a claim like "I'm working on an app to organize my spatula collection" and you think, yeah, sure you are. (I may have been guilty of this myself.)
Got a text message from 'Nicole from LinkedIn', wanting to discuss an opportunity, and I of course replied 'Well, contact me on LinkedIn, then.' "Nicole" then replies "We are using direct messages for quick and efficient communication" Nicole - You need to work harder on whatever this scam is.
Made my second visit to a new local bagel place. The bagels are great, but each time, the manager (or possibly owner) has been in there, drinking his coffee out of a Tim Hortons cup. C'mon, man, have some faith in your own product.
