Wenn jemand dir etwas im Vertrauen erzählt und dich bittet, das niemandem weiterzuerzählen, heißt das:
A – Du erzählst es deinem*r (Ehe)Partner*in nicht.
B – Du erzählst es deinem*r (Ehe)Partner*in, es sei denn du wirst explizit gebeten, das nicht zu tun.

A- You’re not telling your spouse/partner
B- You are telling your spouse/partner unless you’ve been specifically asked not to
