He sits on the surface of the bed, pulling Odysseus onto his lap. Within the privacy of this hut, they don't have to worry about prying eyes.
"I think we're overdue some time together then, huh?"
His hut is officially finished!
All furnished and everything... He can live here now, if he wanted.
He's actually not in his hut today.
Decided to finally take a break and wander through the palace instead.
Sitting in his half furnished hut, looking around with a sigh.
...He's missing his lovers.
"Ah, I wish I could have been there to witness your journey. I would've loved to accompany you back home."
He takes Ody's hand and tugs him over to the half finished bed he'd been making. It wasn't done, but it was comfortable enough to sit on.
"You don't have to go back yet, right?"
A quiet chuckle leaves his lips as he presses a kiss to his beloved's head.
"It's alright. I am working just fine on my own. I only need your arms to come back to at the end of the day."
"Of course not! I would love that."
He slight smile curls his lips, bringing the old king back into his arms, hugging tightly.
"...Is this why you have been waiting for me, every night? Why you've been talking about our life at the palace so much?"

Sighing into Diomedes' arms, Odysseus relaxes.
"Yes... Now that I am done being an idiot, what can I do to help with you with your project?"
"Is it too late to tell you I was going to ask you if you could help me train the green palace guards...?"
He chuckles, chagrined.
The anxiety he was feeling bleeds off almost immediately, realizing where his assumption has gone wrong.
"Genentì..." He whispers, hanging his head. "Forgive me for being an old fool. Of course you need something to keep your mind occupied - I should have... I'm sorry."
