I painted this morning. Mother & Wilfred went (to) town. I got a pr. of anklets & some dress goods. Retired at 10:00.

Herb Brummond/Brummund was a little older than Wilfred but they must have been friends. Herb married Esther Moll in 1935. The diary mentioned Herb Jr was born in April but I wonder if he died. They went on to lose newborn twins, Wilma & William, in 1938 and a boy born premature in 1948.
Tuesday, June 9, 1936:
I worked on Marg's pillow and this afternoon I planted flowers. Wilf & Mother & I went to see Mr. & Mrs. Herb Brummond.
