[June 11th, 1946] 2,132 students competed in the 32nd annual elementary school track and field meet. Three new records were set. A. Kaline and A. Stith broke softball throw records in the 80-pound and 95-pound classes, while a student from Public School No. 56 set a new run-and-catch record.
