Image of the week: Algal blooms in the Celtic Sea π
Captured by #Copernicus Sentinel-3, the image shows phytoplankton blooms visible from space. These microscopic organisms produce over half Earthβs oxygen and help absorb COβ. The cyan colour is likely from coccolithophores.

The fruitful discussions from the event will feed into Phase Three of DestinE, which starts in July and will take the initiative towards full operations mode: bit.ly/4ebK88I
DestinE is led by the European Commission's DG-CNECT and implemented by the ECMWF, @esa.int and EUMETSAT.
