When Eeyore arrived, he was so scared that no one could touch him! And just as he started warming up, and letting us love on him, we noticed a limp...
X-rays showed shrapnel and a poorly healed fracture. Sadly it seems, someone shot him with "just a BB gun" and broke his leg, leaving him in pain.
We worked with the vet, and the only real option to alleviate pain for good would be to amputate.
Surgery was a success! He's doing great and we expect him to make a full recovery but that'll take time.
