The Brenner Autobahn is one of Europe’s most important north–south Alpine corridors, connecting Austria and Italy. This is what makes the route unique among Alpine crossings because the pass is kept open year-round. The Brenner Pass remains open all year, unlike many other higher Alpine passes.
