& for me it's about NOT defining aging as being conservative, cause it's not synonymous! as we age we're not meant to stop imagining, growing and changing, and i refuse to allow myself to stay stuck on what's familiar if presented with better info that disproves it. we should keep evolving til death
every generation grows up looking at how mean, cold and conservative their parents generation seems to be then sees how forward minded, human rights minded they used to be as young people, condemn it to just how old people are, the repeat the pattern.
Resuming therapy last fall has been the best stint. Not only because my therapist is also a Black trans woman, which is a life and gender affirming experience each session, but it's the most honest I've ever been & I show the fuck up, even when it's difficult. This go-around has been alchemistic!

I started therapy almost 10 years ago to deal with the depression of the time & to receive a referral for breast augmentation surgery.
Started again in 2019 after having a series of nervous breakdowns, suicidal ideations, PTSD, etc.
Returned this past fall to maintain my life in the present.
