I often think of unanswered #Tolkien questions when reading & last night it was I wonder if Beorn's wife knew he was a skin changer before marrying him & when did her baby Grimbeorn begin the change? For #TolkienTrewsday theme of "restoration": I always associate Samwise Gamgee with batik Tambal, a batik motif from central region of Java. Tambal ("to patch") is associated with healing physical illness and repairing spiritual damage, reflected in Sam restoring trees in the Shire.
