Miller has been linked to at least two deaths during his 19 years at Forest Park PD.
In 2017, he fatally shot Marco Gomez, who was driving.
A lawsuit said Forest Park PD encouraged excessive force, have a police code of silence, and failed to properly investigate police-involved shootings
Forest Park Police Lt. Daniel Miller will not be charged by North Riverside PD for yanking a woman from her car at gun point and arresting her, out of uniform, out of his jurisdiction and wearing a Trump jersey. He’s on paid admin leave.
This is not the first time Miller has been accused of abuse.
Video shared to social media by rapid response shows ICE agents abducting a man this A.M. from inside the Bridgeview Courthouse.
Outside, Cook County Sheriff’s deputy Gigliotti #19013 daps it up with one of the agents.
Asked about IL law preventing arrests at courthouses, deputy Glover shrugs.
In 2020, as Dajuan Gates was having a medical emergency and dying in the back of a Forest Park police car, Miller accused him of faking his symptoms, telling him to “stop playing games,” according to a lawsuit.
Gates died, with the whole incident taking place feet away from a hospital.

Yesterday a person was detained by ICE inside the Bridgeview Courthouse, violating a state law that bars federal agents from detaining people with civil warrants or without warrants at courthouses, according to officials.
This leaves many asking, who will hold ICE accountable? And why aren’t they?
Miller has a history of complaints and being costly for the small village of Forest Park.
Myself and @peoplesfabric.bsky.social look into it for @unraveledpress.com

ICE agents detained a man at Bridgeview’s courthouse Wednesday, telling sheriffs they had a warrant but never showing one.
Arrests on civil warrants are barred by state law at courthouses, prompting questions of if the detainment violates it — and if so, who will hold them accountable.
