Great news! Seattle did not get singled out in the end! PLEASE take the time thank these five councilmembers:
The 15% cap that would only taget Seattle has been REMOVED! Voting no were: Dembowski, Perry, Fain, and Von Reichbauer.
Downtown Seattle Streets for All (DSSA) is having a happy hour at Pike Place next week! join us on Friday, June 19, at 4 pm. we'll catch the tail end of Sip and Savor. no agenda, just getting to know other DSSA folks!
Seattle is about to get screwed. King County Council is proposing to increase our sales tax and send it to wealthy suburbs that don’t want to pay for their own road building. It will soak Seattle for $3 million a year, in perpetuity, to maintain roads in Medina and Bellevue. Ask for a fair deal 👇🏻
Mass pedestrianization—across every city in the world—is essential for building a healthy, safe, and sustainable future.
WSDOT’s car ferries cause congestion on both sides of the sound. Passenger-only ferries aren’t a magic bullet, but relieve congestion, provide a speedy alternative for those seeking to skip the line + support bus transit. Unfortunately, @markoliias.bsky.social killed the Mosquito Fleet Act

Thank you for voting for a fair deal for Seattle
We won! Thank you everyone who wrote in to King County Council asking to treat Seattle fairly! Please write to thank: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected] for their vote!
Should Seattle sales tax be increased to subsidize wealthy suburban road building? No! But that's what the King County Council is proposing to do this Friday. Tell them to treat Seattle fairly, and not siphon $3 million sales tax for Bellevue etc. Take action now! actionnetwork.org/letters/8415...
Kingston is a tiny, unincorporated village in NE Kitsap County. Ferry-bound cars clog downtown and line up for over a mile at busy times, many running their engines the whole wait. It’s a big problem and WSDOT’s fix is a bandaid. Ditto Bainbridge ferry. Cars ruin everything
Every single utility pole in the city is a community kiosk if you have a stapler and access to a printer.
