3/ as for being trans, Aldiirn keeps that information close. I HC transness acceptable most places but among lolthites? nuh-uh. He used to be a bit more open when he lived/worked in a multifaith city but now his job takes him into lolthite cities and its safer to be less open
1/ Aldiirn figured out/came out as gay around when he converted to Vhaeraun. No better group to come out to than the boy's club lol.
Asexuality a whole other thing though that he still hasn't realized is a thing that there could be a community around. #tavqotd

2/ I run with the headcanon that the norm in faerun is pansexuality. being attracted to a single gender is a bit of an oddity but no big deal. but everyone in BG3 is so HORNY I figure there's just not a lot of support for aces. Aldiirn has the "must be something wrong with me" belief

Underfolk get used to people dying and moving on. If Astarion die-died before him, Aldiirn would mourn privately and focus on work. There would be less pep in his step, especially outside of work, but give it a couple years he'd recover. His prayer songs would be SO SAD tho. #tavqotd
