A rousing keynote by Yannis Hamilakis to kick off #NordicTAG2026 in Kalmar Castle!
There are a couple of days left before the deadline! 🏃🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
Another highlight at #NordicTAG 2026 is our keynote panel "Activate archaeology for just futures - a panel debate on archaeological theory, social justice & activism” The conversation will take place on May8, 17.30-18.30 & will be led by Eva Mol with Aris Politopoulos, Anna Wessman & Artur Ribeiro
We are very excited to welcome John Sunderland as one of our #NordicTAG Artists in Residence - John is an archaeologist & an artist working in the fields of mixed media visual art, archaeology & transdisciplinary landscape studies.
We are incredibly happy to welcome Timo Menke as our second artist in residence for the Nordic TAG 2026. His practice is centred around various forms of nature-cultures and their entangled histories, phenomena and agencies. He will give a talk on his work at the illegal landfill Marhult.
We are a proud sponsor of @nordicarchtag.bsky.social 2026 which took place in Kalmar over the last week! Nearly 200 delegates came to the biennial meeting, organised around the theme of ‘Activate Archaeology for Just Futures’.
Nordic TAG in Kalmar is less than one month away! Our main keynote speaker is Yannis Hamilakis who will introduce the conference at our opening at Kalmar castle: How to organize our pessimism? Archaeology, activism, and global apartheids. lnu.se/en/meet-linn... #NordicTAG
