A few thoughts on the launch of JROR, especially because the editors are actively soliciting comment: 1: So much time & energy go into running journals (above & beyond the editorial labor), so kudos for this group for resigning from Publications & then successfully starting another journal.

AI can’t fix this “2024 NAEP results…show 12th-grade reading scores at…lowest level recorded since the assessment began in 1992…yet more than 1/2 of these… seniors reported being accepted to a 4-yr college….We are admitting a cohort that can’t read at a college level & are pretending otherwise.”
