This is an example of taking a point WAY too far. "Racism is prejudice plus power" can be a jumping-off point for examining the difference between racial prejudicing by the majority culture and the minority, but "racism is prejudice plus power so only the powerful can be racist" is nonsense.

The word “racist” doesn’t apply to individuals that don’t wield power. You might call him bigoted (I don’t) but until one of his fellow black or brown Marines call him that then you should be careful about throwing around insults.
