Happy national Indigenous peoples day! For those who don’t know I am indigenous and part of the United Houma Nation. Mostly digital but do the occasional traditional art. At the moment I am slowly working on a project which involves my heritage. (A drawing of Me and my brother) :3

I believe we need more indigenous characters in media! This is also a reminder to support and share the stories or works of those within our community. Our stories and voices are important and matter not just today but every day. So show some love to some indigenous people in your communities! 💙
For context my tribe celebrates on October 12 like many other American nations and June 21st is for Canada. I celebrate both because my grandmother and her family are from a nation in Canada (but also my brother too.) So I acknowledge and celebrate June 21st as it is part of my heritage.
