Hooray! We made it to 80! Our guest in our second international episode is the lovely @g0blinegg.bsky.social . We talk about the devil, folk horror tropes, annoying men and knowledgeable women. No podcast host was sacrificed for this production. We swear.

Fantastic early birthday present from my partner Calum! I've long admired @drfrancisyoung.bsky.social research, and I've recently felt drawn to my previous life of studying religious history so this was a perfect gift choice. I'm yet to put it down!

In the chancel window of Castle Frome church, there is a small sculpted figure, clad in mail, holding a heart in his hands. It is believed to commemorate a heart burial, linked to the De Lacey family. It has been suggested it symbolises a member of the family who died on Crusade.

Whenever I go church crawling, I obsessively look for graffiti. Recently, in All Saints Church, Claverley, I hit the jackpot when I found this fantastic little guy ✨️

One of the 15th-century carved finials (otherwise known as poppy heads) from the oak choir stalls at Tong Church. These choir stalls date from the rebuilding of the church circa 1420–1430. What a fantastic little guy!

She is here and she is beautiful! 🌼
The latest issue of witches magazine is stunningly curated, and thought-provoking. I'm so proud to feature, with an article discussing the importance of respecting the legacy of witchcraft. 💚

My research into Nanny Morgan has been one of the most fulfilling things I've ever done. Ann Morgan's story highlights the importance of honouring historical legacies in folkloric narratives. She deserves to be remembered.
