i just keep looking at this and wildly laughing because it feels just too on the nose
Ban cars.
We need to shut down this car thing until we figure out what the actual fuck is going on.
On today’s Queer History Ride we rode past a very large group of folks lined up outside a building.
Folks in our group started shouting at people in that group “What are you doing? What’s the line for?!”
Folks shouted back “flea market! What are you all riding for?!”
“Queer History!”

Then we turned the corner and another pedestrian asked what the ride was for.
We shouted back the answer and the person screamed “YES! I love that! Have fun!” & started dancing on the sidewalk.
This is why cities are better traveled/experienced outside of a car.

A good day was had by all.
We biked to:
-breakfast
- @perennialcycle.bsky.social ‘s Queer History Ride
- lunch & coffee
- bookstore & dinner with the kids
I rode my Surly, new Workcycles Fr8 and the cargo bike library Urban Arrow.
Doing life by bike makes me happy.
More Americans deserve to have the choice to have days like I did today.
Most cannot make this choice because their cities have forced car dependency on them through sprawl and unsafe street design/lack of safe bike networks.
Multiple delegates report that Josh Bassais made a "bring the microphone to your mouth" motion with one hand, as he looked for someone to take pity on him. This is a gesture that has a different meaning outside the context of a DFL convention.
It’s looking like I’m gonna need financial support to get through June and July. 🫠😩🙃😔
If you’re able to chip in or share to help my partner and I stay afloat while searching for new employment or some kind of money tree:
