A toss of his hair and a smug grin light up his face.
“But of course I adore the adulation. Who wouldn’t love to be loved as I am?”
But it’s the reminder of Louis that has his back stiffening.
“Do not speak his name. Ever.”
Just hearing that name both saddens and angers him.
“As much as I’m sure many would be thrilled to see me perform, I have my sights set on something different. Something bigger than the theater. As for Louis…”
There he stops. He doesn’t even know what to say in regards to his fledgling and former lover. Perhaps it’s best to say nothing at all.
