A proposed budget released by a House of Representatives subcommittee fails to restore funding to a program called Ready to Learn, which provides free educational TV programs and related materials targeted to pre-school children.
June 10, 2026 - The program, called Ready to Learn, was dependent upon grants from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which dried up last year.
