The lovely Church of St Bartholomew at Cresswell is now on the site. This sort of Norman, Romanesque construction is one of the most visible legacies of the old Cresswell Hall estate.

Afternoon! Today's write up is on Cresswell Tower, one of the best preserved defensive houses in all of Northumberland and nicely tidied up a few years ago. Even had a mansion house attached to it for a bit.
